I am deeply passionate about working with clients who have experienced trauma. Trauma can be a complex and challenging experience, profoundly impacting every aspect of our lives, from our relationships to our sense of self-worth. It affects the body at its core, both consciously and physically, leaving us feeling haunted by its lingering presence and affecting our day-to-day lives.

However, I believe that healing from trauma is possible, and I am committed to supporting my clients in their journey towards recovery. I have seen firsthand the transformative power of trauma-focused therapy, and I am dedicated to providing a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their experiences and work towards healing.

My approach to working with trauma is rooted in psychodynamic theory, mindfulness, somatic practices, and trauma-informed care. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, a highly effective treatment for trauma. EMDR gently encourages the brain to find safety in the present moment through bi-lateral stimulation, helping to reprocess past traumatic experiences and alleviate related symptoms.

Through these modalities, I help my clients connect with their bodies, process their experiences, and find a sense of safety and empowerment in the present moment. My ultimate goal is to help my clients move beyond their trauma and towards a life of greater joy, fulfillment, and wellbeing.
