My ApproAch

Almost everyone who comes to this work is standing at the edge of some kind of beginning that looks, at first, like an ending.

A relationship ending, creative burnout, grief, or the sense of having outgrown the life they are living. I especially love working with women who are ready to stop abandoning themselves and start trusting their own instincts again.

I hold space and build experiences that help people build a relationship with their own unconscious, engaging with a part of themselves they forgot existed

You can understand a pattern completely and still repeat it, which is why I integrate depth talk therapy, hypnotherapy, guided imagery, and somatic work.

Each session begins with depth, the process of gaining insight, following a thought or a feeling until it opens something up, and understanding where a pattern actually comes from. From that insight we take what surfaces and work with it until it turns into something that actually shifts.

If this resonates, I'd love to hear from you.

Sarah Manuwal Therapy

ABOUT

As a therapist, I blend traditional psychotherapy with somatic approaches to help you create lasting transformation. My practice focuses on supporting individuals through trauma recovery, anxiety management, creative blocks, relationship challenges, life transitions, and eating disorders.

My path to becoming a therapist is uniquely informed by my background in the arts and entertainment industry. This experience gives me a distinctive understanding of the pressures and challenges faced by creative professionals, while my therapeutic training allows me to offer effective, evidence-based support for a wide range of concerns.

With a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles and a Bachelor's from New York University, I bring both academic rigor and practical experience to my work. My training at Valley Community Counseling Clinic, including pioneering their first adult grief group, has deepened my expertise in loss and life transitions.

I provide an LGBTQ+ affirming, culturally sensitive environment where all identities are welcomed and celebrated. My approach honors your unique background, considering aspects of gender, race, ethnicity, spirituality, and lived experience. Together, we will work to help you find the peace and balance you deserve.

As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in the State of California, I am able to provide therapy services to clients who reside in California.
